Uncommon Epicurean Adventures
What's an Uncommon Epicurean Adventure? We define it as the exploration of a destination - and the discovery of its history, culture and people - through its cuisine. Let us introduce you to the best regional food at its source. You'll meet local chefs, artisanal producers who employ time-honored traditions, visit farms, orchards, markets and vineyards, take cooking classes - and of course, eat. Each adventure will be nicely seasoned with the inclusion of iconic sites and special places.

Learn more about our customized trips for individual independent travelers and how together we can plan a customized - and uncommon epicurean adventure for you. We can also work with you to design an escorted group itinerary, or a corporate retreat with a culinary theme.

NEW IN 2012

For the Love of Pizza!
We have just cooked up two buonissima pizza pilgrimages for 2012. The destination? Where else but Italy. In May, with an encore in September, acclaimed Neapolitan pizzaiolo, Roberto Caporuscio, of New York's Keste Pizzeria & Vino and Italian wine and food experts Michele and Charles Scicolone, authors of Pizza Any Way You Slice It, will lead a culinary adventure of a lifetime.

Neapolitan pizza is officially part of Europe's food heritage and you'll learn its history, how to make it and enjoy it in some of Italy's most famous pizzerias - with local wines. Naples is on the itinerary, of course, and Roberto will introduce everyone to his native Sperlonga, a charming seaside village. And then Rome. Highlights in the Eternal City include a guided tasting tour of its historic Centro Storico, its famous pizza bianca and a truly special farewell dinner. The tour's "menu" and activities will also feature visits to gelato makers, chocolatiers, bakeries, wineries, cheese makers and the opportunity to witness artisanal craftsmanship. Each group will be limited to eighteen participants.

2012 Tour Dates: May 26-June 2 & September 29-October 6

Price: $4,495 per person, based on double occupancy
